W-2 Box 12 · Code TT

Estimate qualified overtime — the FLSA premium, not your total OT pay.

For 2026, employers report qualified overtime compensation in Box 12 with code TT. The deduction is separate, capped, and phased out by MAGI. This page does the arithmetic in your browser.

Your pay this workweek

How you are paid

Salaried exempt employees generally do not receive FLSA overtime and have no Code TT amount. This form does not decide exemption.

Regular rate for salaried non-exempt is weekly salary ÷ hours worked. Bonuses and shift differentials are omitted.

Project the year

Defaults for a 52-week 2026 year as of Aug 31: 35 weeks YTD and 17 remaining. Edit if your workweek calendar differs.

Filing status

MAGI here is AGI plus certain foreign/territory exclusions (IRC §225). YTD QOC is the running qualified-overtime premium, not total overtime pay. In “weeks YTD + remaining,” a stub figure replaces the estimated YTD.

When you file

On the 2026 Form 1040, qualified overtime is computed on Schedule 1-A, Part III. You enter the Box 12 Code TT amount; the schedule applies the cap and MAGI phaseout. Tax software — for example FreeTaxUSA and TaxAct — will include this form. This site has no affiliate relationship with those products.
